qgmWorking globally to network access to outdoor spaces for wellbeing, and creating opportunities for people to experience stillness in nature.

I led this small charity to develop and coordinate the global network  nurturing low cost, accessible, outdoor space for well-being, contemplation, rest and inspiration in a variety of settings, such as private homes, churches, schools and hospitals.

Whilst working as Projects Manager I transformed how the charity communicated, both writing, designing and coordinating a range of communications and resources, including newsletters, leaflets, courses, using social media and developing a new website (www.quietgarden.org), as well as developing database systems, and delivering training and courses on nature connection and contemplation.

Quiet25 Course

Over 5 sessions the Quiet25 course takes people on a journey through a range of contemplative exercises and practices in the exploration of silence: introducing groups to the experience of silence together in natural surroundings and exploring the physical, mental health and spiritual benefits of taking a regular time of quiet in nature.

The Quiet25 Leader’s Guide is designed to help people run a 5-week course with a group or as the basis for a one-day course or individual workshops.

The format includes discussion questions, group and individual exercises, as well as tasks and practices for participants to try on their own, between sessions. There is also an accompanying Participant’s Guide.

Pause newsletter

Wrote, designed and coordinated the publishing of the regular Pause newsletter.
