FAQs

Breathwork is a powerful practice that uses conscious breathing techniques to promote physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. It can help release tension, reduce stress, and foster a deeper connection with yourself.

The course will introduce you to a variety of breathing techniques, including Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB), which is a breathing technique where the breather intentionally connects the inhale with the exhale without any pauses. It allows deep awareness of self and for our connection with self, others and nature to develop, providing the groundwork for profound personal development.

Breathwork is a powerful healing modality and although usually a deeply relaxing and enjoyable process, it can result in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also sometimes intense physical and emotional release.

Sessions can cause tingling, dizziness, trembling, shaking or other physical sensations, emotional experiences and experience of energy moving through your body.

While breathwork is generally safe, it may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions. As a precaution some health conditions are contraindicated for anyone thinking of practicing the Conscious Connected Breath and it is crucial that you inform me beforehand. In most cases you can still join but I will guide you accordingly. If you have any concerns, please consult with your healthcare provider before signing up.

Absolutely! The course is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience. The breathing techniques are easy to learn and you will be guided throughout to ensure you feel comfortable and supported.

The course will include an introduction to breathwork and breathing techniques, and in particular Conscious Connected Breathing. You’ll ensure your space is setup best to support you. You can be sitting or lying down. People often experience a range of sensations and emotions, including feelings of peace, clarity, and release, and you will be guided to process the experience. Each session will end with an opportunity to share and discuss what came up, to help integration. Matt will also share other techniques and tools to support you in your continued journey.

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows you to breathe freely.

Bring a yoga mat, blanket, pillow and eye covering – as well as a water bottle and notepad.

Also have any medication that you may need to hand (e.g. asthma inhaler).

That is completely normal. Matt is experienced in creating a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your emotions in a group setting, and you will have the opportunity to do a one-to-one session where he will be able to guide you personally with one-to-one support. Additional one-to-one sessions will also be available to book if helpful.

Standard Cost: £180

Early Bird Enrolment: £160 (Book by August 26, 2025 – use code: ‘earlybird-intro’)

Supported Place: If financial circumstances are a barrier but you are committed to yourself and this work then a concessionary rate may be possible. Contact Matt directly to discuss.

Online sessions will use Zoom, so you will need a device to connect with, and ideally which can be placed so you can be seen during the session. Earphones can be very helpful.
You will need a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted for the sessions, ideally with somewhere you can comfortably lie or sit down. Ensuring you can make your self comfortable, so you may want to have a blanket, cushion and mat to lie on.
